15 January 2019 Her Excellency Ambassador Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal had a meeting with H.E. Darwish bin Ismail bin Ali Al Balushi, Minister responsible for Financial Affairs at latter’s office today. The meeting was held in an utmost cordial and friendly environment.
During the meeting both discussed the ways and means to enhance economic relations between both the countries through trade and investment. H.E. Ambassador informed H.E. Finance Minister about the upcoming Investment Summit which is going to be hosted by the Government of Nepal on 29- 30 March 2019 in Kathmandu and sought for the possible cooperation from the Sultanate. H.E. Ambassador enquired about the possible investments in Nepal from the Sultanate of Oman. H.E. Al Balushi expressed the satisfaction over excellent political ties between Nepal and the Sultanate and told that both the countries now need to focus on enhancing commercial ties. Regarding the Summit, H.E. Al Balushi informed that a delegation from the Ministry of Finance will participate to seek the investment opportunities in Nepal. H.E. Al Balushi also assured for all possible cooperation in coming future.
H.E. Mohammed Jawad Hassan, A.C.P.A, Adviser at the Ministry of Finance, Oman and Ms. Rojina Tamrakar, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy were also present during the meeting.
