21 November 2017 | H.E. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, Ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman paid a courtesy call on H.E. Eng Mohsin bin Mohammed Ali al Sheikh, the Chairman of the Muscat Municipality of the Sultanate of Oman at latter’s office today.
H.E. Sheikh welcomed H.E. Ambassador at his office and praised the excellent relations between Nepal and Oman. He appreciated the natural beauty of Nepal and also enquired about Nepal’s current ongoing election.
H.E Dhakal appreciated the continuous efforts of Muscat Municipality to maintain sustainable development along with smart buildings, industrialization and other various development projects. The H.E. Ambassador also informed about Kathmandu Metropolitan’s various activities regarding greening the city and preparation of the Embassy for participation in upcoming Muscat Festival.
Both of them discussed the further means and ways to collaborate in new avenues such as potential tourism exchanges and twinning agreement between the Kathmandu- Muscat Municipalities in future. H.E. Ambassador Dhakal extended invitation to H.E. Sheikh to visit Nepal at his convenience. H.E. Sheikh thanked Ambassador for the invitation and expressed his willingness to visit Nepal as soon as possible.
