27 मार्च २०२१ शनिबारका दिन नेपाली राजदूतावास मस्कटले ”Nepal- Oman Literature & Nature: Posthumous Recognition to Late Mr. Mohamed Al Harthi, The Eternal Traveller” विषयमा साहित्य र पर्यटन सम्बन्धी एक वेभिनार आयोजना गर्यो।काठमाडौं सेरोफेरोका महत्त्वपूर्ण र मनमोहक पर्यटकीय गन्तव्यहरूको बारेमा जानकारी दिने अभिप्रायले आफ्नो नेपाल भ्रमणको अनुभव समेटेर अरबी भाषामा नियात्रा लेख्नुभएका ओमानी नागरिक स्व. मोहम्मद अल हार्थीज्यूले नेपाली पर्यटन र साहित्यिक क्षेत्रमा पुर्याउनु भएको योगदानको कदरस्वरूप मरणोपरान्त सम्मान प्रदान गर्ने उद्देश्यले सो कार्यक्रमको आयोजना गरिएको थियो।ओमानका लागि नेपालका राजदूत महामहिम श्री सर्मिला पराजुली ढकालज्यूले कार्यक्रमको औचित्यता सम्बन्धमा शुरूवाती मन्तव्य राख्नुभएको कार्यक्रममा दूतावासका द्बितीय सचिव श्री सोमेश थापाज्यूले नेपाल तथा ओमानबाट कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुनुभएका विशिष्ट वक्ताहरूको संक्षिप्त परिचय सहित सम्पूर्ण सहभागीहरूलाई स्वागत गर्नुभएको थियो।
कार्यक्रममा ओमानी लेखिका श्री अझहर अल हार्थीज्यूले स्व. मोहम्मद अल हार्थीज्युको भ्रमण तथा लेखनको बारेमा आफ्ना संक्षिप्त भनाइहरू राख्नुभएको थियो।सो अवसरमा महामहिम राजदूत श्री सर्मिला पराजुली ढकालज्यूले स्व. मोहम्मद अल हार्थीज्यूको सम्मानमा एक सम्मान-पत्र वहाँको छोरी तथा बाल चित्र पुस्तक लेखिका तथा प्रकाशक श्री इब्तिहाज अल हार्थीज्यूमार्फत प्रदान गर्नु भएको थियो।स्वर्गीय पिताको सम्मानमा दूतावासद्बारा प्रदान गरिएको सम्मान-पत्र स्वीकार गर्दै इब्तिहाजज्यूले आफ्नो परिवार तथा व्यक्तिगत तर्फबाट सम्मानको लागि धन्यावाद ज्ञापन गर्दै आफ्ना भनाइहरू राख्नुभएको थियो। कार्यक्रमका दौरान महामहिम राजदूतज्यूद्बारा स्व. मोहम्मद अल हार्थीज्यूको नाममा बनाइएको उहाँप्रति समर्पित वेभसाईटको शुभारम्भ गर्नुभएको थियो। स्व.मोहम्मदद्बारा नेपालको भ्रमण सम्बन्धमा लिखित पुस्तकका अनुवादक डा. ईथान कोरिनले पुस्तकको अनुवाद अनुभव लगायत बारेमा संक्षिप्त भनाइ राख्नुभएको थियो। त्यसैगरी नेपालबाट कार्यक्रममा सहभागी श्री मान्सी अग्रवालले नेपालको बारेमा पुस्तक लेख्ने तथा नेपालको पर्यटन प्रबर्द्धनका सहयोग पुर्याउने विदेशी नागरिकहरूलाई नेपाली राजदूतावास मस्कटले गरेको सम्मानको प्रशंसा गर्दै आफ्नो नेपाल बसाईका साथै नेपालको विविध प्राकृतिक वातावरण, जीव तथा वनस्पति लगायत विविध पर्यटकीय गतिविधिको बारेमा संक्षिप्त
भिडियो सहितको प्रस्तुति दिनुभएको थियो। कार्यक्रममा प्रा. श्री तुलसी दिवसज्यूले स्वर्गीय ओमानी लेखकप्रति सम्मान व्यक्त गर्ने अवसर प्राप्त भएकोमा खुशी व्यक्त गर्दै कविताको माध्यमबाट मानिसलाई कसरी प्रकृतिसँग आबद्ध गर्न सकिन्छ भन्ने सम्बन्धमा आफ्ना विचारहरू व्यक्त गर्नुभयो।साथै सोही अवसरमा नेपालका विविध संस्कृतिको बारेका संक्षिप्त जानकारी प्रस्तुत गर्दै भाषा, कला र विविध संस्कृतिले अनौपचारिक कूटनीतिमा पार्ने प्रभाव सम्बन्धमा समेत प्रकाश पार्नुभयो। त्यसैगरी मध्यपूर्वको मरुभूमि “Empty Quarter” पार गर्नु भएकी ओमानी नागरिक श्री बैदा अल जद्जाली तथा श्री जेनी मेक्गीलले आफ्नो साहसिक यात्राको बारेमा अनुभव बाँड्दै स्व. मोहम्मद अल हार्थीको लेखनबाट नेपालको बारेमा जान्ने मौका प्राप्त भएको बताउनु भएको थियो। नेपालका प्रसिद्ध युवा कवि श्री नवराज पराजुलीले पुस्तक भाषानुवाद सम्बन्धी आफ्नो अनुभवहरू साट्दै मोहम्मद अल हार्थीको योगदान कति महत्वपूर्ण छ भन्ने बारे आफ्नो धारणा राख्नु भएको थियो।त्यसैगरी कार्यक्रममा सगरमाथा आरोही प्रथम ओमानी महिला श्री नादिरा अल हार्थीज्यू, इन्टरनेशनल डिप्लोमेसी एण्ड प्रोटोकल अध्ययन संस्थानकी अध्यक्ष श्री इनेस पिरेसज्यू, लेखिका लक्ष्मी कोथानेथज्यू, शिक्षाविद् तथा महिला व्यावसायी श्री म्यागी जीन्स ओ बि इ ज्यू, समाजसेवी तथा २०१९ की ओमानी वर्ष महिला डा. राज्यश्री नारायनकुर्तीज्यू, ओमानको स्वास्थ्य मन्त्रालयबाट डा. अमिरा अल रैदान, नेपाली सोसल क्लबका अध्यक्ष श्री विकल झा लगायतले कार्यक्रममा आफ्ना भनाइ तथा अनुभवहरू बाँड्नुभएको थियो।
कार्यक्रमको अन्त्यमा महामहिम राजदूतज्यूले नेपाल र ओमानबाट कार्यक्रममा उत्साहपूर्वक सहभागिता जनाउनुभई सहभागीहरूका विचार तथा अनुभवहरू धैर्यतापूर्वक आदानप्रदान गरी कार्यक्रमलाई सफल बनाउनु भएकोमा सम्पूर्ण सहभागीहरूलाई धन्यावाद ज्ञापन गर्नुभयो।अन्ततः कार्यक्रमका सहभागीहरूलाई नेपाल भ्रमण गर्न आव्हान गर्दै महामहिम राजदूतज्यूले कार्यक्रमको समापन गर्नुभयो।
उक्त कार्यक्रममा महामहिमज्यूका श्रीमान् श्री विमल ढकाल, समाजसेवी डा. चित्रा नारायणज्यू, बेलायती यात्री मे.ज. श्री रिचार्ढ स्ट्रानफोर्ड, राजदूत महामहिम रलेह सुलेमानी अल हादी, एन आर एन ए का प्रवक्ता श्री डि बी क्षेत्री ओमानस्थित नेपाली समुदायका प्रतिनिधिहरू, नेपाली दूतावास ओमानका कर्मचारीहरू लगायत करीब ५० जना सहभागी हुनुहुन्थ्यो।

On 27 March 2021, Saturday, the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat organized a webinar on the theme ” Nepal- Oman Literature & Nature: Posthumous Recognition to Late Mr. Mohamed Al Harthi, The Eternal Traveler’’ in order to pay tribute to Late Mr. Mohamed Al Harthi and also provide a common platform to Nepali and Omani literary persons and nature lovers. Besides his several literary works, late Mr. Al Harthi has written a travelogue in Arabic language describing touristic places surrounding Kathmandu Valley. Welcoming all the guests Mr. Somesh Thapa, Second Secretary at the embassy and moderator of the program gave a brief introduction of the participants.
H.E. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, Ambassador of Nepal to Oman, at her opening remarks highlighted the importance of literature and also explained about the interrelationship between nature and literature. H.E. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal presented A Letter of Honor as a posthumous recognition to Late Mr. Mohamed Al Harthi being received by his daughter Ms. Ibtihaj Al-Harthi. Also, H.E. Dhakal virtually launched the website dedicated to Late Mr. Mohamed Al Harthi. Guest of Honour of the program Ms. Azhar Al Harthi, director of Oman Cultural Club gave a brief information about Late Mohammed Al Harthi. Some prominent figures from Nepal and Oman including Ms. Ibtihaj Al-Harthi , Author and Illustrator of Children’s Book, Dr. Ethan Chorin, Translator of the book written by Mohammed Al Harthi, Dr. Jokha Al Harthi, winner of Man Booker International Prize 2019, Ms. Nadhira Al-Harthi, first women summiteer of Mount. Everest from Oman, Legendary poet Professor Dr. Tulasi Diwas, Adventurist Ms. Baida Al Zadjali, Ms. Ines Pires, President of International School of Diplomacy and Protocol Group, Dr. Amira Al Raidan from Ministry of Health of Oman, eminent Nepali poet Mr. Nawaraj Parajuli, columnist Ms. Laxmi Kothaneth, Educationist and Business Women Ms. Maggie Jeans OBE, Adventurist Ms. Janey Mcgill, Omani Women of the Year 2019 Dr. Rajyashree Narayankutty, Mr. Bikal Jha, President of Nepali Social Club put forward their remarks about the role of nature in literature relating it to promotion of tourism. Speaking at the program Ms. Mansi Agrawal highlighted the advantages of visiting Nepal with the help of her popular video. Similarly, Mr. Nawaraj Parajuli shared his experience of literary translation works and also tried to reflect upon the immortal contribution of late Mr. Al Harthi.
Guest participants appreciated this initiative of Nepal Embassy in Muscat and suggested that similar efforts of all the Nepalese missions would contribute to promote Nepali art and literature. Mr. Bimal Dhakal, Husband of H.E. Ambassador, Speaker of NRNA Mr. D. B. Chhetri, Ambassador Saleh Sulaiman Al Harthi, Social worker Dr. Chitra Narayan, officials from the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat and various other participants from Nepal and Oman attended the program.
