Appeal for Support to Nepal
On 26 August 2026, the flash floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers affected districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading, resulting in several deaths and many people still missing. Thousands of citizens have become homeless, while extensive damage has been caused to physical infrastructure.
For the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of those affected by the disaster, the Government of Nepal has made arrangements for contributions to be deposited under a single window system in the Government of Nepal's Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund and Prime Minister's Relief Fund. As per the decision of the Government of Nepal, arrangements have also been made for contributions to be deposited into the Embassy's bank account in order to further facilitate the transfer of financial assistance to Nepal from the Sultanate of Oman. The funds thus collected into the Embassy’s Bank Account will be transferred to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.
In these difficult circumstances, the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat makes a heartfelt appeal to the Nepali community, the local Omani community, the international community in Oman, institutions, business establishments, and all concerned to extend support for rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts. Interested individuals, institutions and business establishments in Oman are kindly requested to deposit their contributions into the following account of the Embassy:
