The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat successfully conducted a program aimed at promotion of export, trade, and investment in Nepal and Oman on Friday, 13 February 2026, at Nepal House, Muscat. The event featured presentations and experience-sharing by Nepali businesspersons and entrepreneurs based in Oman, followed by an interactive discussion with the Embassy and presenters, as well as networking opportunities.

H.E. Dornath Aryal, Ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman, lighted the traditional Panas to commence the event. Ambassador Aryal highlighted the importance of trade and investment in further consolidating the existing bilateral relations between Nepal and Oman. He urged the gathering to look for the possible business and investment opportunities in both Nepal and Oman and explained the priorities of the Government of Nepal in attracting investment. On the occasion, the Ambassador expressed gratitude to the NRN Nepali Social Club/Nepali organizations, businesspersons, artists, and other individuals who participated in the month-long Muscat Night Festivals held in January in Qurum Natural Part, Muscat. The Embassy took part in the festival by setting up nine stalls. At these stalls, traditional Nepali food (MoMo), tea, and coffee were served, while a range of Nepali products were showcased. The initiative also provided a platform to promote Nepali businesses. More than two million people visited the Muscat Night festivals.

Presentations and experience sharing were made by Mr. Suresh Khadka, Hotelier and President of NRN Nepali Social Club; Mr. D. B. Chhetri, businessperson and former Vice President of NRN ICC; Mr. Bikal Jha, former President of NRN Nepali Social Club and businessperson; Mr. Gautam Shrestha, Chartered Accountant/Professional; Mr. Jeevan Karki, Hotelier and Entrepreneur; Mr. Yubaraj Acharya, Engineer; and Mr. Subhash Kafle, Engineer. They shared their views, experiences, success and failure stories about business operation, challenges and opportunities in several fields of trade and investment in Nepal and Oman. The speakers also focused on what are the key areas to be kept in mind while entering the world of business and investment and invited others to join hands to work together in Nepal and Oman. Mr. Gautam Shrestha made a presentation focusing his experiences and knowledge of stock and encouraged Nepali people to invest in stock in Nepal and Oman.

An interactive session was organized to provide floor to all the participants to understand more about the export, import, business and investment ideas. The event facilitated networking among participants for potential future ventures. Participants expressed their appreciation and satisfaction with the informative and interactive nature of the program. The Embassy is committed to promoting business and investment through such events in future too. The event was moderated by Mr. Bishesh Kumar Sah, First Secretary of the Embassy of Nepal.
